We're hiring two Outbound Sales Specialists to join our growing Focal team. Together, we'll build out the Focal Marketplace, recruit new photographers to our platform, and empower them to grow their business while providing top-notch service to our clients.
This is a full-time, contract position (35-40 hours/week). Co-op students are welcome. The role starts September 6, 2021 and continues until December 19th, 2021 with a possibility of extension thereafter.
The goal and responsibility of the Outbound Sales Specialist is to prospect, engage, and convert photographers into active members on Focal's Marketplace.
Direct Sales & Relationship-Building: Create 1:1 connections with photographers and recruit them to join Focal's platform. In collaboration with Focal's team, you'll focus on key locations and cities to build out the Focal Marketplace.
Social Media Engagement: Join photographers where they interact online (e.g. Facebook groups, Reddit communities) and engage with them. Your job will be to convey the benefits of Focal to them.
Prospecting: Find photographers that fit our target customer segment. Generate leads by sharing the benefits of the Focal Marketplace and Focal's suite of business tools (package/investment guide builder, booking management, payment processing, etc.).
Audience-Building: Find creative ways to provide value to photographers. Develop client familiarity and trust with the Focal brand.
Sales: You're experienced in sales/prospecting (e.g. drip campaigns, etc.) — or if you're low on experience, you're willing and eager to learn sales processes.
Networking: You enjoy meeting new people and are comfortable introducing yourself. You have a passion for social media engagement and building relationships online.
Communication: You're a sharp writer and can develop engaging sales and marketing copy for a variety of audiences. You know the difference between a run-on sentence and a sentence fragment. You're a confident speaker and can handle giving a presentation.
