Like most parents, my favourite thing to photograph are my children! You want amazing photos, but you also want a fun and relaxed experience for your family. You're pretty sure they will "cooperate" for a short time, but if they're young, you know it won't last long before they lose interest and want to do something else. You're in luck! I have kids too, and I know exactly how to appeal to their way of thinking! Your family session will be flexible and child-focused.
You'll get spontaneous and candid images of your family just being themselves. Because I'm just a quiet observer (no flash) you'll quickly and easily forget that I'm there. With a documentary session like this, you get to enjoy your family, just as they are, just being themselves. And, you'll get to BE IN THE PHOTOS with your kids... which your kids will treasure when they're older. They'll get to see mommy and daddy playing with them, cuddling them and just being with them during the day. Documentary photos are especially nostalgic because you'll have the memories of the places you actually spent the majority of your time in; your home and around your neighbourhood... not a special location that you went to once for a family portrait. This is something beautiful to pass on to them when they are older. *covid update: I am not currently doing any indoor documentary shoots until further notice.
Do you want unique, artsy images of your family? With this package, you'll get a relaxed session, outside at the location of your choice. My style is very different than traditional posed portraits. We take our time and let your kids play and interact with you while I capture candid photos. I never ask you to maintain a specific pose for more than a few seconds - though we will aim to get one "must-have" posed photo for your wall! I'll help you sit together in a comfortable manner and then you can just be yourselves and leave the rest up to me. If you love fine art and want to capture the love in your family, this might be the perfect session for you. I love creating art worthy of hanging above the fireplace! With you or your family as the subject matter, almost anything you can dream up can be created.
"If you could be anything, what would you be?" Fantasy sessions are just what they sound like! They are pure fun and excitement! I'll help bring your (or your child's) vision to life whether it be a fairy tale, fantasy, superhero, pirate or astronaut or anything else they dream up. Most kids love dressing up! I have a box full of unique costumes which you can look at before your session and get ideas. If I don't have what you're looking for, I will find it!We'll plan out something fun ahead of time, as much as possible will be REAL and I'll add final touches in Photoshop afterward to add the magic!Your kids will love these photos as much as you will! And your whole family will remember the amazing time we had creating them! Included in the session fee are 2 Fantasy / Fine Art photos, plus a proof gallery with all the images (screen size, unedited).Additional image can be purchased for $50.
This session is great for kids who love being outside! For your Firefly session we will focus on having a good time collecting any little bugs or insects your kids can find. I'll bring a mason jar, and your kids can try to catch bugs! (I'll add a bit of magic to make them glow using Photoshop!) It's super fun and the photos turn out really magical! (These sessions are best done on cloudy days or around dusk.) Since your family is already out for the session, why not add on a bit more time and do a family group photo too!? Optional 20+ extra shooting time and family photos can be added for $150. Includes all the high res images for the family shoot.
Short session ideal for individual portraits, couples, or small families just wanting a few shots. If you think 1 hour is too long for your kiddos, then this might be perfect for you! In 30 minutes we can usually get a couple of good ones for your family photo plus some fun candid shots! I'll help you all pose for the traditional portrait, and once that's over with, you can just enjoy the time with your family as I shoot from a distance. My editing style is lively and bright with natural-looking colors.
This is a totally unique type of family photo session! Our first goal is to create a one-of-a-kind magical photo of your family, child, or children. Then the bonus is since your family is already out for the session, we'll also spend time doing a mini family session so you get some beautiful family photos as well. I like to ask kids, "If you could be or do anything, what would you choose?" This is a great way to start coming up with ideas for your session. Or, you might see something in my portfolio that inspires you, and that's great too! Whatever you decide, I'll help bring your child's vision to life whether it be a fairytale, fantasy, superhero, pirate or anything else they dream up. Your kids will love these photos as much as you will, and your whole family will remember the amazing time we had creating them! For your balloon session we will focus on creating one magical image, and lots of fun candid images with the balloons. This session can be done with one child or two. Your child will need to be comfortable standing on top of a step ladder (you can stand next to them and hold on!) I recommend this session for ages 5 and up or for toddlers. Toddlers can “float” in a basket held up bythe balloons... which is also very cute! It's super fun and the photos turn out really magical! (These sessions are best done on cloudy days or before sunset.) Since your family is already out for the session, why not add on a bit more time and do a family group photo too!? Optional 20+ extra shooting time and family photos can be added for $150. Includes all the high res images for the family shoot.
For your witch and wizard session we will focus on creating one magical image, and lots of fun candid images. Witches/wizards can have lightning bolts or cauldrons, or both! This session can be done with just your child(ren) or with the whole family. It's super fun and the photos turn out really magical!
