A Wise Woman Once Said F@ck This Sh!t. And She Lived Happily Ever After. What is an Elopement? We believe in the power and the beauty of marriage. We believe that your marriage is a union to be celebrated, and celebrated in the most intimate and personal fashion. The difference between a wedding and an elopement being the emphasis on the celebration of a marriage over the hosting of a wedding. What We Do Help lovers run away and elope in a beautiful, meaningful, and intimate way. We value an epic location, lovely vows, all while capturing the memory. An Elopement Is Two humans in love, with the smallest handful of witnesses, no bridal party, a marriage celebrant, and a photographer.

Farawayland Weddings is an award-winning and magazine-published Vancouver photography studio offering wedding photography, engagement sessions, and videography to Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, and surrounding areas. As a team, we strive to create powerful work that communicates to the core of people's emotions and stories. We are photographers, videographers and artists. But aside from colleagues, we are friends, spouses, and siblings who understand the heart of humanity. Our culture is as diverse as the jobs we do, as well as the approach we use to create our work. Each one of us brings individual expertise to our collective creative process. Together we speak English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Czech, and Azerbaijani (so far!). We all found each other by chance and quickly developed a great friendship. Working together for a decade has taken us to multiple adventures in the incredible world of weddings. We are honoured for the opportunity to play a role in one of the most important and intimate days of your life. Consider us your wedding day curators: inspired by real love, genuine emotions, and contemporary art; specializing in documenting joyful couples madly in love with a candid, artistic, and thoughtful approach.
I specialize in candid documentary. My philosophy: embrace the weird in you. The quirks, the smirks, and the unguarded moments are the ingredients to making a wedding album an authentic representation of you. When I'm in the zone, I become some sort of ninja where I blend in and not be obtrusive to anyone or anything. But I can make my presence known whenever I'm needed. I can easily transition from being inconspicuous to being the boss when it's time to wrangle family members for the family photos. I capture weddings and events from as many different points of view and angles as I can. I love to document the nuisances that occurred throughout the day which I feel like brings the whole story together. Whether it's the detail of the decor, or the raw moments shared between two individuals, or even the tantrums of the flower girl or the ring bearer – you can bet I've got them in my reel! Above everything else, I want YOU to feel COMFORTABLE in your own skin, ENJOY the experience and be CONFIDENT that you have one less item to think about on your wedding day.
