Newborn sessions are such an honour, and truly one of those "I love my job/pinch me" moments. Being there in those earliest days to document your growing family is a true privilege. These newborn sessions can be arranged in-home or outdoors, and I'm flexible on location—if you'd like to do the session at home, wonderful! I also offer my home if you're looking for a change of scenery. If you're planning a newborn shoot (or you know you'll need one soon), my advice to you is that you settle into the idea that on the day, everyone is going to feel how they feel—and that's okay. We'll work with the vibe of the day, not against it, and everyone will be happier for it. If baby needs to nap, we'll take sweet, sleepy photos. If you need to feed (and want photos taken), we'll capture that, too. If you've got to be hands-on, we'll get beautiful shots of you rocking that new-parent life. Some will be vulnerable, some might feel raw, some will be hilarious, some will be weak-in-the-knees sweet, but they'll all be picture-perfect. FAQS
I'm worried a newborn shoot will be difficult. What should we do? I want to go on record and say that I am not at all bothered by a fussy baby, a diaper change, spit up, feeding breaks, or anything else. You don't need to explain, apologize, or worry! I arrive machine washable, so everything I'm wearing and any props I bring can be thrown in the wash as soon as I get home. Consider me on the team for the day!; How old should my newborn be? Generally, I try to capture your newborn when they're 5-9 days old. Got a due date? Let me know in advance! I tend to keep the week around a Newborn session free, so that if we need to adjust our session date, we'll have the flexibility.

Newborn photography gives me the chance to witness how a family becomes complete, and the unconditional bond forming between a mother and her baby.My goal is to deliver outstanding images for your family to cherish for years to come. The session is mostly focused on your baby, but I always include some images of the parents and siblings with the little one. The best time for a newborn session is within 2 weeks from birth. If you have any special family heirlooms you'd like to include, please have them ready. The best time to start the session is after the baby has been awake for a least one hour. The room in which the session taking place should be as warm as possible.
