If you want a documentary-style photoshoot that captures real, genuine, intimate moments in your family's/friends'/workplace's day-to-day life, look no further. This package is designed to provide you with a collection of pictures that aren't only planned and posed, but document a story. For example, I may accompany you and your family on a hike, or sit in the background of a meeting at your workplace, capturing the dynamic between the people involved. Rather than spend much of the session guiding you with posing prompts, my main role in this particular session is to serve as a bystander in the background, capturing raw moments between people.

Hi there! I'm so happy you're here. My name is Mariana, and I'm a self-taught photographer based in Victoria, BC. Ever since I was little I have been fascinated by photography, and particularly portraiture. I believe there is a moment between "the stimulus and the response"; i.e. the second between when the photographer issues the command for a pose and the subject decides how to re-enact it, and that split second is where the most genuine human emotion is conveyed. My goal is to capture these candid, real moments, to give people invaluable moments to treasure for a lifetime.
